A company has announced that it wishes to build a large factory near your community. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this new influence on your community. Do you support or oppose the factory? Explain your position.

Some people say a large factory has more benefits because it will enable them to get a lot of labor demand, while others insist that it has more negative points because it will make their community dependent on the company. In my opinion, the former is true for the following three reasons. First, the community will flourish economically. Second, its infrastructure will improve. Third, the community can handle its disadvantages. This essay will discuss these reasons in further detail, dealing with both the advantages and disadvantages.

Firstly, one of the positive aspect of building a large factory is that it enables the community prosper. If the factory is built, there will be a large amount of labor demand, and also consumption of demand by the workers for the factory will increase. Furthermore, the company would pay its tax for the community government. In Japan, Toyoda is famous for its ties with Toyota, one of the biggest car companies and it thrives because of Toyota.

Another aspect of a big factory is that it helps the community make its infrastructure better. Near the factory, we need the better load, or the public transportation, a hospital and so on. Of course, the residents will feel happy if it gets convenient to live. In previous example, Toyoda has great loads for the factory.

Needless to say, there are some disadvantages of a large factory. For example, it will make the community dependent on the company. Also, its security would get worse because of the people who move from other areas. Moreover, it would cause the environmental pollution. However, these disadvantages can be handled with the effort of the community. If the community establishes the committee dealing with the problem of the factory, and it does its best to discuss with the company, they can reduce the impact of the disadvantages.

In this way, I think building a large factory has more advantages than disadvantages because it has the economic stimulus. Also, it helps the infrastructure of the community improve. It is true that it also has disadvantages, but if the residents get patient to talk with the company, they can be handled. So, if some company releases the plan for building a big factory near my community, I would like to listen to and talk with the company as a resident, then I will make every effort to make my community better.
